Cllr Fischel and Cllr Russell did not take part in the discussion on the next planning item.
The Clerk was asked to submit the following comments:
Stance: Object
Comments: Ashurst Parish Council objects to this application as the Council strongly believes that the size and density of the building is too large and far exceeds the size of the existing house. The Council does not think that there has been any significant change to the application since the last comments.
The play equipment is technically closed, but in practice it is open as members of the public have been removing the closed signs.
In their role as Recreation Ground Trustees, the Council RESOLVED that they should reopen the play equipment and put up the sign from Horsham District Council that says that the equipment is open but that people use the facilities at their own risk. It was agreed that it is not practical for the equipment to be regularly cleaned, but Cllrs Fischel and Russell agreed that they would meet at the Recreation Ground over the coming weekend to undertake a risk assessment, put up some laminated signs and decide whether any cleaning or hand sanitizer at the site is feasible.
The Clerk forwarded the Trustees the generic signage for play equipment provided by Horsham District Council, along with a copy of the risk assessment.
Date of the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council: Thursday 1st October 2020 via Zoom
